• Do NOT buy a monitor that has more than 60hz, unless you are using it for a PC. If you use a monitor with over 60hz for console systems, you are wasting money. Consoles cannot take advantage of the extra frames your monitor refreshes.

• Yes. HDMI 1.2 is limited to 60hz. If you want more than that, HDMI 1.4 is capable of 144 hz.
