“In monitor menu, I click on DP to activate Gsync. Monitor goes into Power Save Mode. This appears to be an issue in many forums. I can't get 144hz if I can't activate GP.”

it sounds like when you do, the monitor is unable to detect an input, why this is happening I'm not quite sure but it may be that it's just a bad cable, and I would recommend maybe getting a new one before you spend lots of money either getting it fixed, or waiting for the manufacturer warranty to work its time-consuming magic
