HDMI is fine. Display port is mainly used for higher refresh rates for gaming I think
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes display port allows this monitor to run at a higher refresh rate and faster response time (145hz/ 1ms) Hdmi caps at 60 hz refresh
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Display port and HDMI have the same quality level (HDMI has higher theoretical resolution but would probably outpace your hardware). However if you plan to use G Sync on this monitor you will need display port.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would use the display port because it will support up to a 144 Hz refresh rate. My old video card is a Radeon HD5830 so can only handle up to 100 Hz at the max resolution. Still, the screen is beautiful and very easy on the eyes. This is the 1st monitor I've owned that can actually display two side-by-side screens at the same time that are actually clear and legible. My other monitors, including a 25.5" ASUS monitor, which is a decent monitor, can't do that for these old eyes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.DisplayPort and HDMI are essentially the same thing. The only thing HDMI has over DP, is the ARC control, which is more helpful on a television.
