“I am getting this product as a combo with the Oculus rift s and I was wondering if the two were actually compatible I've done a fair amount of research but I always seem to get mixed or unsure answers due to it being a laptop.”

This laptop has a uSB C with mini dp port so yes it should the others are wrong

There website clearly states that. - " HDMI Connection with third party adapter: Currently, there are no known adapters that will work from HDMI → DP. If this changes, we’ll update this article to include any supported adapters. Until then, we don't recommend trying to use Rift S with any PC or laptop that does not have a DisplayPort port or Mini DisplayPort port. "
