I chose to upgrade mine to 32gb of RAM. I've tried to run many programs, multiple videos, websites, etc. I can't even go past 14gb of ram usage when I run it all at once. I couldn't even make the laptop stutter. Personally, I would go for 32gb of RAM. I paid about $95 for 2x 16gb Crucial DDR5 SO-DIMM.

More RAM will improve performance in both cases, but will make little-to-no difference when running just one or two tasks, or even multiples one that individually need little memory. For instance, you could probably run scores of iterations of the Calculator app.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.P.S.: Your best bet would be to check the websites of specific software you want to run, then see if their recommended hardware is matched, or surpassed, by that of the PC. Less than a match would indicate this is a poor choice for that software.
