You should reinstall Windows 10 completely and disable Hibernate. I have about 10 gb free after doing that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is a folder "Recovery" in C:\ that takes up 3.5 GB. I've already made a recovery thumbdrive and a system image on an external hard drive. I believe this folder can be deleted, and if full reinstall is needed I can use the thumbdrive or my system image.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not sure what you want the space for. This thing is designed for the cloud and/or an external USB hard drive. Plus you should've gotten free cloud space. This should be sufficient for pics and vids and documents. If you need space to install complex programs, you probably bought the wrong machine. Look into an i5 or i7 model
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Rather than deleting misc programs that Dell pre-loads, I had to reinstall the OS. Win10 has the ability to install programs to the SD drive (or an external USB drive) - in Settings/System/Storage . But the OS that was installed on MY laptop didn't have that capability because it was an early version of Win10. To update I had to reinstall the OS using the MS Media Creation Tool - v.easy. That updated Win10 to allow the add'l drive D: and everything was bright & sunny.
