“Will It Run Portable Apps Off A Jump Drive ? There are a ton of free Portable Apps that run directly off a Jump Drive on regular Windows Computers. Will this stripped down Windows Netbook also run such programs off a jump drive ? If so, it will greatly enhance it's value to me over a similar Chromebook”

I wouldn't recommend it. However, you can purchase a fast SD card normally the faster the more expensive to do this task. The Hard drive in this the eMMC is actually one of these cards built in. However, it does also depend on the size. You can also get a SSD on sale right now for 40 bucks for a 120 gb if you want extreme speed and space and avoid the card all together. However, harddrive replacement is not for the faint of heart.
