The BIOS contains the Windows 10 Home S key. You have to still have to "Activate" the license, but it just goes to the BIOS and gets the key. It does not display that key, and it's an OEM license meaning it cannot be transferred to another computer. Windows 10 Home S means that you will be restricted from using any programs which are not provided by the Microsoft Store. This is a "feature" that Microsoft has installed to improve the security of their systems (according to Microsoft). This means that, if an application is not available on the Microsoft Store, you cannot use it. You can disable this feature for free, and convert your Windows 10 Home S license to a Windows 10 Home license (free for now). Then you will be able to download and install software, but they are clear that you accept the security risk of such. If you are not tech savvy to do this, you can have Best Buy do it for a fee.
