would it play certain games requiring like 4-8gb of ram would it load and actually be able to play games like garrys mod and typical games that run around 2-4-6-8 gb of ram and need a good graphics card ??? if not I need to find a good computer for gaming

This is not a laptop for gaming. The graphics are Intel, which are Ok for casual games like Candy Crush, but not real games. You will need to find a laptop that has a separate (discrete) graphics processor. Typically, Nvidia graphics processors are what you look for in a laptop. You can get anywhere from 2 GB to 4GB of graphics memory, but it will be a bit pricier than the model here.
