I added more ram very easily. It took me 10 mins. Bought SODIMM 16 GB ram stick added it to the 8 and now I have 24 and it operates way more efficiently. I've been told that SSD is upgradable but I can not confirm. Long story is you don't want to put much more money into this thing or you might as well just purchase a more powerful laptop
