Runs pretty fast. Battery could be better
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this for about a month now. I use it for streaming, school, etc. Good storage and very sleek look but it is prone to getting finger print marks on the outside. Good price for the 8gb ram and intel processor though. Switch it from s-mode in less than five minutes when you get it - google it. Good speakers too and webcam is not bad.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pandemic had me working from home, but school only supplied me with a 10” tablet! I needed something larger and faster. Love all the features; makes video conferencing a breeze!

Really good computer.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really good computer. For Zoom too. My Zoom meetings can last up to 2hrs. It's a great computer for basic work. Screen leaves quite a bit to be desired though. It's has a plasma screen reflection feel to it. It's not crisp clear LCD/LED type screen. Also, the exterior is a fingerprint magnet. But it doesn't bother me too much... especially for the price. Price is good for what you get.

Best laptop ever
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to use, love the storage and the touch screen. My very picky child that made me purchase 3 different laptops has not complained once about this one but only gives praises, so I’m very happy they were a great match.

DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is good looking. The screen is nice and bright and the colors are great. THAT IS THE ONLY GOOD THING I CAN SAY ABOUT IT. The specs on this computer are all at least 2Xs as good as the computer I'm replacing so it should be faster and better on all counts. Like I said, the only thing I found to be better is the screen and graphics. I've had nothing but problems but I continued to use it to see if I was rushing judgment. Well, that was a mistake because Best Buy only gives you 15 days to return a $500 computer. So now I'm stuck with it. BUT YOU AREN'T! Do not buy this junk. It freezes constantly, won't connect or stay connected to the wi-fi, I have to constantly restart it, it takes me literally hours to get it back working and even then it's so slow that I can type a whole line before it starts showing it on the screen. Most of my work is online so I end up losing work that I've completed because the computer freezes or disconnects from the internet. There have been a bunch of times, I try to put the cursor somewhere to correct a mistake and no matter what I do, the cursor goes somewhere else. Then the computer will start highlighting things, making things bold, etc. on it's own and try as I might, I can't get back to them to fix them until I re-start the computer and start all over (losing any work in the process). I'm not sure I've remembered all the issues but I think it's clear this computer is a nightmare. Also, on a side note, don't type on it or touch it in any way or you will end up with messy fingerprints that don't wipe off easily everywhere! So all the casing on the sides of the keyboard and the cover are so messy this computer looks like I've owned it for years and it's been through the wringer! I purchased it 27 days ago. Kind of hard to get it to show in the pic but I included one so you can kind of see what I mean. I'm very disappointed. I've been buying Dell's for years and have always been happy with them. I may have to re-think that.

Posted .Tammy2772,
Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear about your experience with your new Dell computer. It's possible that there are software and driver updates available for your computer that you can check here: https://dell.to/34QvdLl.
If you are still having connection issues we'd recommend the following:
1. Download and install the latest Wireless Card driver. (https://dell.to/2th3Tpe) After updating the driver, re-establish the connection with the Wireless Access Point and check the wireless performance.
2. If the issue persists, proceed to step 3.
3. Power-cycle the local network. Shut down the Dell system, the Wireless Access Point/Router and the Modem. Wait a minimum of 60 seconds before powering up the components in the following order:
4. Power ON the Modem, and wait for it to boot fully.
5. Power ON the Wireless Access Point/Router, and wait for it to boot fully.
6. Power ON the Dell system.
7. Open Network and Sharing Center
8. In the left side navigation pane, click on Change Adapter Settings
9. Right click on the wireless connection icon and select Properties followed by the Configure button
10. Under Wireless Options, select the Wireless N mode
11. For Windows 8 or later systems click the Advanced tab and look for 802.11n Mode on the right you will be given the option to Enable or Disable. If the mode is not visible you may need to update your drivers and firmware.
12. From the drop-down menu, choose Disable followed by Ok
13. This should restore the wireless download and upload speed. Internet speed can be tested at http://speedtest.net.
Lastly, to help with your performance issues we'd recommend running the Windows Performance Troubleshooter:
1. Close all open windows.
2. Press the Windows logo key + X key on the keyboard.
3. Click Control Panel.
4. Click System and Security.
5. Under Security and Maintenance, select Troubleshoot common problems.
6. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts to complete the process.
8. Restart the PC.

Q: QuestionDo we need to extra buy Microsoft office for this laptop?
Asked by Meichuan.
- A:Answer Nope. You can download Libre Office for free. It works just as well, or better, as MS-Office (and is free!). Libre comes with a word processor, spreadsheet, database and presentation designer. Millions of users worldwide and it is open-source software, which means that you are not beholden to <that company> for updates. Libre will work with your MS-Office files in their native format and you can download versions for Windows, MacOS, and (if you're adventurous) Linux Look 'em up online. BTW, Not a paid ad for Libre and I'm not compensated by anyone for this tiny sliver of advice.

Q: QuestionSince the only review states that the 1TB hard drive is not accessible without additional software, can you explain ?.
Asked by Clyde.
- A:Answer This comment is not true. The hard drive easily can be accessed. While I do not use this specific computer, I have a similar setup with a main SSD that my operating system is installed on, and an extra HDD for storing files. It is incredibly easy to store basic files, downloads, etc on the extra drive. You literally just make a new folder and drag in your files, or change your browser download location to the HDD. It oftentimes can present challenges in installing programs, however. Some programs (notably Chrome) can only be installed to the drive that the OS is on. Other programs can be installed to the HDD, with key files defaulting to the SSD. Because of this, I use Firefox. This does not apply to most programs however, as they allow you to choose the installation location, and you can just install to the extra HDD. Good luck, and the process is much easier than you would think :). If you can create a folder on the desktop, you can do this!
