The 6gb you are referring to is RAM not actual storage. This laptop has a 1Tb hard drive. 1Tb = 1000Gb and 1000Gb = 1000000Mb and 1000000Mb = about 500000 photos

For storage it has 1 TB hard drive which is more than sufficient to store over 10K pics of size 10 MB. But its a good idea to upgrade the RAM and possible add a SSD if you want a quicker response and smooth flow with heavy editing work with photoshop.
