    • Answer to who it may concern, I purchased a dell Inspiron 15 3000 service tag # DW8RB32 series from Micro Center 1 year ago. The computer was fine for about 2 months then all of a sudden the WiFi would not work. I contacted your support line and was told to do almost 2 hrs of tech/computer prompted tests. After those were done they concluded the WiFi card was not working and sent me a new one. The computer worked for about 4 months with sporadic loss of wifi, I contacted your support line in between WiFI loss again and was told if it keeps happening to contact them to further investigate. I had the computer hooked directly through Ethernet for about 4 months so I did not notice any loss of WiFi. I disconnected from Ethernet and less than a week later it started to do the same thing dropping WiFi after 10 seconds. Again I called your support line and was told to do the same tests. After boosting the signals in the settings the system appeared to be working. I was informed by the tech my warranty was close to ending but if the same issue happened it is probably the WiFi antenna inside the laptop and it would have to be replaced but would still be covered under warrant because it is the same ongoing problem from my first call. I reconnected to Ethernet and the computer was running fine. Yesterday I disconnect from the Ethernet and the same issue started to happen again(WiFi dropping after 10 sec). I contacted support and am now told that I am out of warranty and have to pay to resolve this issue. I am sending this email to inform you of how displeased I am and that I will be contacting every Amazon .com dell products pages, Newegg .com dell products pages, Tigerdirect dell products pages, BestBuy dell products pages, basically every site I can reach that has a comment page for your products and posting the aggravation and time I have wasted with a company that obviously doesn't care about their customers. Your escalated supervisor Harjeet badge #235071 was no help saying it is out of warranty and his hands are tied.

    • Answer I have a mouse I used, just plugging the usb in. I didn't try to disable the touch screen. Both work at same time.

  • QuestionHow long does the battery last between charges?

    • Answer I can easily take it out for entire day without bringing the charger. Several times, I've seen it go down by about 25% after 3 hours, so yeah, it's awesome. My usage involves Microsoft Office (relatively light on the processor), Google Docs (heavier on the processor), random internet browsing, YouTube and Netflix streaming, and browser games (heavy on the Wi-Fi usage) with a screen brightness of about 10% (I haven't tested its battery at brighter settings for long enough to attest to that, sorry).

    • Answer The laptop is available, of course. However, the laptop is really really slow. I bought it for my mom for watching video purposes and everytime she powers it up, it's as if the laptop was 2 years old. I honestly do not recommend this specific product because I went through the process of being very frustrated with this laptop. I recommend to just buy a more expensive and be well away with life. Good luck!

  • QuestionWill this computer be good for editing photos and storing tons of photos? I will be using this for regular internet browsing and photo editing. Is it worth the extra money to upgrade to the 8gb? Can you store enough on this 6gb? Thank you!

    • Answer The 6gb you are referring to is RAM not actual storage. This laptop has a 1Tb hard drive. 1Tb = 1000Gb and 1000Gb = 1000000Mb and 1000000Mb = about 500000 photos

    • Answer The Intel HD5500 is ok for some Steam games. I bought a Dell laptop with an I7 broadwell cpu with the same Intel HD5500 for my daughter and she can play Minecraft, League of Legends and some other Steam games. This can actually also run Elder Scrolls Online albeit at a low resolution but it's still considered playable, IMO.
