• No. You can purchase external disc drives for pretty cheap that connect through USB.

• My Dell has a nice DVD drive, it just will not open up. Returning soon to Best Buy

• 12/15/16 Just purchased at Best Buy 80222 and does include DVD

• No, if you look at the side views of the laptop, it doesn't have an optical drive. You can, however, buy an external optical drive and use that instead.

• It does not however it does have usb ports so that you can attach an external cd/dvd drive if you so choose. DVDs are being used less and less and most software is downloaded directly from the internet so Dell decided to save weight and make the laptop thinner and lighter without a bulky dvd/cd drive.
