This laptop is more than enough to play these online games you mentioned. Once you get to more intensive games like Rise of the Tomb Raider / Grand Theft Auto V, then you will need to look elsewhere. If your child is playing Minecraft and Roblox, he may have years to go before you expose him to the more graphically intensive games out there. Recommended Requirements to run Minecraft are as follows: CPU: Intel Core i3 or AMD Athlon II (K10) 2.8 GHz RAM: 4GB GPU: GeForce 2xx Series or AMD Radeon HD 5xxx Series (Excluding Integrated Chipsets) with OpenGL 3.3 HDD: 1GB Latest release of Java 8 from java.com

HDD: 1GB (this Dell has 1 TB ) Latest release of Java 8 from java.com (free to download) What does all this mean? Minecraft plays far better with a faster single core processor. So, any computer you look at needs to have a processor faster than 2.6ghz. And yes... it doesn't matter if you are looking at an inexpensive Toshiba that has a Pentium 2.66 ghz processor, or some Core-I monster. If the processor is not 2.6ghz or faster, playing the game will be painful. Minecraft will play with Intel HD graphics, but it is recommended to have a discrete video chipset if you want it to look good and play smoothly without lag. So. You want a laptop that will play Minecraft? This laptop will play Minecraft but not the way the game was designed to be played.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. At very low setting but will be slow. You need a gamer laptop - more expensive but gamer laptops have beefed up graphics necessary for gaming. This one is only good for general computing. For gaming, Dell makes Alienware for higher end gaming or Dell's own 7559 for modest gaming capability. ASUS, MSI, Lenovo Y700/900 series for gmaing, to name a few choices ...
