Laptops don't have a DVD drive anymore. This cuts their costs, and reduces the thickness and weight for bragging rights and added profits for the manufacturer. You can get an external DVD but be careful as most are junk. It is best to buy an external drive at Best Buy with extended warranty to protect your purchase. Use it extensively the first week in case you have to return it to the store. Copyright laws and changes in hardware/software/firmware make copying DVD or writing to a DVD difficult or impossible anyway. The copy I saw said a DVD drive was NOT included .
