It depends upon what other stuffs you plan to load it in addition to Visual Studio and SQL Server. If you plan to limit only with these, it should handle without any issues and you would comfortable able to work without any issues. But at the same time, if you load other resource intense software, the system might not be able to handle it efficiently with its 8GB Ram. Also, remember this laptop does not support 5Ghz Wifi or AC type Wifi. 5GHz has more bandwidth than 2.5Ghz. If your Wifi network is not congested you should not face any problem with having only 2.5Ghz and will work efficiently
