I hope you have found a good computer for your grandchild that can run the Krita software well. The thing to remember is to check the software package or their website and it will tell you what the minimum requirements are for running that software. I suggest a machine with more than the minimum. Most new laptops come pre-loaded with Windows 10 - if it is an Apple computer it will have IOS. The software package will tell you which of those operating systems will work - or both. If you have purchased a new PC perhaps you are having issues like I am with Windows 10. If so, go to the Krita website and look for updates and drivers under a support tab and follow the directions. Or, contact Krita for help to make the product work. Happy computing.
