• oh yes you can hear it in a quiet room, even a room with a little bit of back ground noise while i did not try it myself, others in the reiviews said that they could not webcam chat due to the noise would be picked up by the mic. i only wish i read the reviews before i bought this, i only read them right before i returned it.
