“Is this capable of smoothly running Solidworks? Also is the RAM user upgradeable or are you stuck with whichever pre-selected RAM you purchase? Also I've seen mixed comments about the pen feature, so I'm wondering if it can use the pen or not?”

• Solid works is quick, and stable. Don’t know about Upgrading the RAM from 16 GB, which is fine for most of my applications. Have not yet tried the pen feature to answer it appropriately. Overall, quite happy with Inspiron!

• You can use Solidworks with this system and the system already uses the maximum RAM supported by this system which is 16 GB.
