It should be fine for graphic design. My daughter is an art major and she used it for 3 years, until it suddenly died 4 days ago. The touch screen and flip over screen make it ideal for graphic design. I'm also a digital artist (and a software developer) and have a similar laptop for myself. Get yourself a nice stylus and you can do some nice work with this. Of course, the bigger the screen, the better and this one has a fairly small screen, but still good for what you're asking.
