- Answer I updated the drivers per Dell's suggestion and the fan still running crazy when I am just using the internet and nothing else. Maybe I will return it.

- Answer For college, I found really really good but I don't think this laptop is for gaming, though it can handle some smaller games. it's performance might be like 30% of the top gaming laptops: I don't want to undermine this laptop's power here - but I am talking about hardcore games soo.

- Answer Yes. Just plug the external drive into the usb and load the drivers provided or it will set up on its own. Then your good to go.
