“Can I buy this laptop as is with 256G SSD and then replace the drive with a 512G SSD? I have replaced hard drives before, really asking is it build for SSD to be replaced? Also would there be any issues with power? Or other negative consequences? Thanks”

According to several YouTube videos, the drive is easily upgradeable. Just make sure to open the case first and see which interface, M.2, SATA, etc. the drive uses. Battery life for the SSD will vary based on memory technology and design. The power requirements for the drive will be standard for the interface it uses.
