Yes, they should work. This has USB 2 port, & has USB 3 Type-A & Type-C ports. USB 3 supports USB 2 devices, backwards compatible support. If you have more external devices to connect than the included ports, you would need to get an external hub or dock, to provide more connections. You need to have the matching connectors. This has 2 types of USB connectors, more traditional Type A & newer Type C. So the hardware should be compatible. Some external devices may need additional specific device drivers to be installed, if system does not recognize & support directly (as is). External drives or file/data storage devices would need to have a compatible formats (file system) to read & write ok. That is a software issue. If the system (operating system or software platform, like Windows) does not support reading the files directly, there is often a software or device driver solution that can be added/installed to support.
