I'd go with a solid state for sure...much more rugged. Haven't had an HP for years....my first laptop was a Dell then I was onto Sony Viaio and Toshibas for awhile...now back to Dell since I couldn't afford an ASUS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have owned a HP envy 17.3 touch screen loaded with all options on it. I was almost two years old, it died early this year. Got another 17" HP for my wife prior the other one dying and I chose this fantastic DELL. Reliability/price/performance an looks, much better than the Envy. The main difference for me is that this Dell has a Solid State Drive. Very fast, very reliable. I don't know about running adobe photoshop, I'm sure that you would need the 17" screen. Good luck!
