Not necessarily, this laptop's battery drains fast when watching videos or playing games. You can run a battery life report to see how your battery is performing, just open the command prompt as administrator, type: "powercfg /batteryreport" and see how your battery is doing. If the design capacity is greater than the full charge capacity don't panic, this is normal in every brand new laptop, it takes about 5 days to have the battery running at it's design capacity.
