• To turn on the backlit keyboard on your Dell laptop, look for a key with a keyboard illumination icon (often F5, F6, F7, F10, or the right arrow key) and press it, potentially with the Fn key. Mine is the F5 key and the icon looks like a flat-bottomed bump with rays coming off the rounded part. It is a toggle off/on.
