• There are two usb. One one each side. I use one for a wireless mouse. You can always plug an inexpensive hub into the other.

• Not sure if mine is the same computer you're talking about. This computer has an HDMI port, USB C, USB 3, and USB 2 ports. Solution for your issue is to get a USB hub with 3 or 4 ports the plugs into your single USB port. I have a 3 port adaptor plugged into my USB C port with printer and DVD/CD drive plugged into that. Everything works fine with no issues.
