Are the fans loud? Do they make any sound at all? null

No it was very quiet, however consider this; Have had it for less than a month and it is already back at Best Buy Geek Squad for a flickering screen that so far they haven't been able to reproduce as of their last call to me, but which happened several times while my wife was using it.

I do hear some noise every once in a while. I never thought anything of it. My ears are pretty old so I may not be the best one to answer this question.

yes, they only get loud when you start playing heavy games on it.

At first , you could NOT hear any sound. 2 hours after I bought it and begun to do text files editing, it got sizzling hot. The fans came on blowing like a lawn mower . Very annoying noise and it started to run super slow. MY EARS , omg, I need astronauts helmet. My problem is I ignored some of the reviews that talked about noise and heat.

you can hear them after its been running for a while but only time ive ever heard it run was while i was gaming on it. for normal use, it never gets hot enough to need it!

Very quiet, I still have not heard a sound.
