Yes, you can easily connect a 2nd screen to broaden your view of the source you are viewing. There is an HDMI port on the back and the System Setup asks if there are additional screens

Don't know why not. I sure plan too as soon as I get a chance to work on moving my desk so I can get to the cables connecting my monitor to my old PC.
