• This has no battery and will not operate unplugged. The keyboard and mouse do contain a battery.

• No it will not and I had mine fail during a power switch in my RV when it went from inverter to generator, which did not even make the lights blink. I added an APC UPS from Walmart which provides surge protection and will let it run for awhile when power fails. When its battery starts to run down, it shuts down the PC.

• No, it is not a portable, at best a "transportable", but it needs an AC connection.
