“Is this a good desktop pc to use for editing photos and creating photo cd's? Or playing a few games like Majong? Do Google apps like Google voice search work with and come with PC?”

I don't feel you will have any issues using it for photos and editing and will work for you. I had this computer actually streaming video movies on 3 different TV's at the same time and it worked with no problems.
