• This laptop doesnot come with a RJ-45 port to plug an Ethernet cable. However, a USB-R45 adapter could be used to plug the ethernet cable.

• Yes it does that is what we do because we live in the country, so having that direct cable running our internet it seems to run better. Hope this helps
