https://www.happyassassin.net/2014/01/25/uefi-boot-how-does-that-actually-work-then/ Yes, it will boot fine. Read the link above if you want to dive really deep, but it is just another means to boot your computer. Sounds like a quality problem if it was not in the right mode to begin with.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same thing happen, was told the hard drive was bad. Brought back to the store, gave me a new one and it worked fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Now mind you I'm no wizard, but I think it lost the ability to find the location. This may have been an Open Box? If so a customer may have messed with the system bios settings (I think that's what they called it) Doing what you did should have fixed it so the next time it runs fine. In the "old days" we would do our own system configuration and autoexec batch files, now Windows handles all of that but the BIOS is the motherboard setting if I'm not mistaken. It tells it to look at (for example) drive C: or D: etc. These plug and play systems should already have the settings done for you. I would take it down to have them either replace the unit or have the GeekSquad fix it... did you get the service contract? If not ask for exchange for brand new if under 30 days since purchased.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.was this a Geeksquad certified device? or open box it is possible that the manufacturer did not properly set the device up but if it happens again just go in store and exchange it for same model. any products purchased from nov1-dec31 can be returned till jan 15
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Um, if you purchase something brand new and it doesn't work, most stores including Best Buy offer a 14 day window to return it. If your computer is giving you the "No boot device" error that means you have something wrong with your hard drive and it cannot find the operating system; a cable isn't properly plugged in, possibly from rough handling during shipping, storing or transporting it home, or it's just a bad drive. Take it back if you have the receipt. If not, call the manufacturer and see if they can help you. Or, you can open the case (WARNING THIS WILL VOID YOUR FACTORY PRODUCT WARRANTY) and check your cables.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.thats just it, NO NEW computer should be displaying error messages like that.. NO BOOT DEVICE FOUND.........your system is telling you, it cannot restart from a particular drive, whether its USB, hard drive or DVD.. by default it should be set at hard drive cos thats where your operating system is located
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would have marched it right back into the store and had them resolve it. When you buy something new it should function the first time it's powered up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All I can say is welcome to the club. My next significant purchase [over 30 bucks] will not be at BB.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would try and see if it does it again. If it does I would return the product due to it still being under warranty. The factory shoots out hundred of these computers. They might have a flaw 1 out of 50. You just happen to get the one. Take it back to best buy and see if the geek squad can check for free since you just bought it. Dell also has a warranty.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
