For the Money an Excellent Purchase

I purchased this for an Internet / Homework workstation, and it performs that job perfectly. Make sure not to download the bundled software option from Dell during the startup, but for other than that for the price (less than $200 when I purchased open box) this is a great system. At a non-sale / non-open box price its still a decent deal, you would be hard pressed piecing together a similar system for the same price when you include the Windows 8 OS. Has HDMI out, which is nice, and built in wireless. It isn't going to break any speed records or play any complicated games ... but for the money you can't go wrong. Also, the Dell standard laptop adapter plug is nice for a power source (they're a dime a dozen online if you ever need one).

This is a really great desktop computer for my needs. It is small and compact takes up less space than my old one. Has everything I need for home use. Installed a few programs that I typically use, no problem there. It was easy to set up, and the price made it quite affordable. Great system, and I have no complaints.

You get what you pay for and with a cheap option like this you really can't expect much. It does what it's supposed to do. I got it so that I could work from home and limit it only for business which is basically almost entirely online. I don't use any type of programs on it and only have the bare minimum installed, like my printer software. Using it this way it does its job and is fast enough. It does seem that it can get clogged up and slow down pretty easily though and I would be scared to install a bunch of programs on this pc. I've found that if it stays on for too long of a period it seems like the background processes start to build up and the pc starts getting slower so I have to restart it to speed it up again. My biggest complaint is the issue with the power adapter. It comes with a 65 watt adapter out of the box but when you start up the computer it gives you a warning stating the pc will run in a low power state because it needs a 90 watt adapter which according to the pc was supplied with it. You can definitely tell it runs in a lower state as well. After looking farther into this it turns out that instead of sending you the correct adapter, Dell simply goes into your pc and changes the programming so that the message no longer comes up everytime you boot up. Luckily I had an extra 90 watt adapter laying around from an old computer and just used that and it's been working fine.

I bought this to create a Minecraft server for the kids. It works well, is quiet and I've had no issues. It has built in graphics so this is not the best choice for a gaming rig but I recommend it for other uses.

I'm just wanted to replace my antiquated desktop PC with something reliable and with decent components. This fit the bill perfectly. It's small and super-quiet, which was a bonus after dealing with the big towers for years. If this DELL lasts as long as the ones I've had in the past, I will be thrilled. I love the HDMI output which I connected to a nice, 23" monitor (I didn't go for touch-screen). Windows 8 takes a bit of getting used to, but wasn't difficult to figure out. I couldn't have built this PC for the price I got it from Best Buy (I checked). Very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this to replace my old Dell Inspiron that was ancient and ugly and over twice as big. For the several months I've been using it, I've had no problems. But I was disappointed that it makes annoying clattering noises like my old Dell. And I wish it had more USB ports in the back, because I have to use both the front USB ports as well. And then I have to unplug something to plug my camera in to download pictures. It came with a keyboard and a mouse, but no speakers, so I used the speakers from my old Dell.

This computer was purchased as a Christmas gift to replace a tired, old, and slow computer. My girlfriend is very happy with the new computer. It is fast and after a day or two of setting everything in Windows 8 it is easy to use. We had to buy a replacement monitor because her old one was too old to use and still allow the use of the Windows 8 start up menu screen but we got a new one at Best Buy the other day and everything is working great. This is a perfect desktop computer for someone who plays a few games on the internet and who likes to surf the web and view Facebook and the like. It does what it was supposed to do and does it well.

This is a very good, basic computer. It comes with Windows 8.1 which was a little difficult to get used to after Windows 7, but it didn't take long to get the hang of it. The hardware is good at this price point and runs faster than the older computer it replaced, after removing the unwanted trial software bundled with it. The 500GB drive is more than large enough for anything we plan to store on it and the built-in backup software from Dell was a nice addition.

i have had no problems with it other than the usual software issues with any new computer, installing what i wanted on WIndows 8 was a challenge, but ultimately i have everything i want. it's very quiet, very compact and very economical. exactly what i needed. i trust dell, so nice to get a good basic desktop for a very low price. though if you have a lot of things to plug in, better get some USB hubs to expand your port availability. 3 usb ports and i needed about 8.

When searching for a new, low cost PC I never thought I could get something like this Dell. With Win 8.1 loaded and other great features, I was delighted. Upon setup and start I was still not disappointed. If you are looking for a desktop for general work (this is our Admin PC) then you should consider this gem.

I was a bit unsatisfied with this computer AT FIRST. In less than 24 hours, it caught a virus. It would not function at all. I was told a Mozilla Firefox download was the cause. Once I reset the computer, everything was back to normal. I have not had any problems! I've had the computer for about a month now. Great computer for the price. Windows 8 was a little more complicated but it's not hard to figure out if you know a little about computers and how they operate. Although, it is hard to find certain things without searching in the search section. For example, tools such as calculator. I'm satisfied with my purchase!

I purchased this for my elderly uncle who uses the computer mainly for email and web access to play simple games. He did not need a huge amount of disk space or tons of memory, so this was a perfect, low cost solution. The Windows 8 UI allowed me to configure the desktop in a simple, straightforward way that allowed him to easily make the transition from Windows Vista to Windows 8. He is thrilled with the speed and performance.

I've been looking for a smaller form computer, this is it. Windows 8.1, WIFI, Bluetooth, card reader, and USBs. It's got it all at a good price. Plenty fast enough for anything I'll want to do.

Have had this computer for a couple of months now and it has performed wonderfully *knock on wood*. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, start up is quick, connection to the internet is quick(of course that is mostly dependent on my gateway) performance speed is perfect for the things I want to do. All of that being said I wouldn't recommend this computer if you're a serious gamer but for most other purposes a home computer user would need it should perform beautifully.
