Like everyone else, I was not looking forward to having a Windows 8.1 computer. Nothing was wrong with Windows 7 or any of the previous Windows. This computer you don't get a program disk. If something goes wrong you are forced to take it to a computer tech because the back up disk to Windows 8.1 is installed within your computer and only a tech can access it. Now when I got this computer I got a small paper telling me how to get it up and running, but no instructions anywhere for how to work the system. The so called tutorial tells you nothing useful. I took two days of toying with it and a call to Best Buy to figure the system out on my own. You would think they would put a manual in there for people to know how to work the system. It made me mad and frustrated, but I am an experienced Administrative Assistant and trouble solver, but a lot of other people aren't especially the baby boomers. I tried to contact Dell to complain or give feed back, but customers do not have access to that kind of service. I guess they are afraid of complaints. Very bad customer service. Also they changed the keyboard plug, so you have to use their new cheap looking design and you can't use your old keyboard. Very not happy with that. And this computer will burn CDs and play DVDs, but you can't play CDs on it. Now for the Windows 8.1 review, in my personal opinion I am not impressed. They have taken a workable system and just added nonsense to it. They allow you to have a normal desk top, but you can also switch to the other system. It is suppose to be so cool. To me it is unnecessary and it looks like trash on the lawn. I am not impressed with the tile system and it is not necessary. They also give you a SHOP Tile where you have access to games and some of them are free, but the problem is some of the games don't work and again you don't have access to a customer service to bring it to their attention. So I like the computer itself, but the only plus to Windows 8.1 is that you are allowed to have your old desktop system that customer love. I don't know about everyone else, but if it isn't broke, don't fix it. They took a perfectly good systems and didn't improve on it.TO DELL- If the system is doing the job, have the geeks keep their paws off and work on your customer service. You are competing with other companies for customers so don't get sloppy with customer service. If I had known what I know now, I would have gone with another company.

The computer was an up grade for my wife and she is very happy with everything. The computer was up and running and on line with ease. We both have a DELL and the last two computers were both bought at Best Buy. Hers was bought on line and it came in just a few days.

Basic computer for everyday use. I actually use it for internet video streaming. I would've like something more than a Celeron, but for the price, it was good. No problems, so far.

My only complaints are that I'm not a big fan of windows 8 and wish there were more USB slots. Other than that, I love it. And the staff was very helpful with this purchase.

Wanted to replace my old computer with a similar Dell. Tower is compact enough that it fits on the desk top instead of the floor. Still getting used to windows 8.1 as I was using windows 7. The more I use it the better I like it, great buy.

I bought this low cost desktop because it had HDMI out and I could hook it to a large screen TV for my father-n-law. Worked out great with an added wireless keyboard. Plenty of computer for most basic tasks. Not sure it is still available.

Good basic computer. Easy to set up, compact in size. Not really crazy about how CDs/DVDs load. Like so many new computers, it has Windows 8, so I still use my older computer with XP as my main computer (which I would prefer not to). Mainly use it for backup storage and inventorying of items (comics & toys).

Very simple to set up and speed is good. I like that the processor is smaller, but still as powerful as the full-size Dell's we've had in the past. So far, no disappointments.

The computer is a great barebones system that does exactly what I need. I only wish it had more ram as the cpu stresses to keep up with multiple tasks. I picked up an 8 GB stick and everything is great now. Not the most powerful or top of the line system, but I didnt need that. the price point is perfect

Very inexpensive but reliable. Goop CPU. Bought 10 of these CPUs to create an automatic dialer at my office. Needed the cheapest CPU that could support the dialer software. The computer works great.

Overall, it is a cheap desktop that is good for everyday use, such as web surfing and youtubing. The price was just a little above $250 with tax. Only downside of it is that the power system on the desktop is laptop like. I think the desktop was built w laptop components such that the desktop itself is pretty light and compact, almost look half empty. Personally raises question on how durable it really is. (personally had bit of problems with laptops with the power cords and the dc power jacks on the laptops) However, of course this is little off topic, since it hasn't happened yet on this computer. May not happen at all since there will be almost no movement of this computer. It is a desktop after all. it will just sit near the desk.

This Dell computer is a good product, especially for the amount I paid for it. Since I need a basic, home-use computer, this fits my need well. I do not do gaming or run a business, so an expensive system was not needed.

I haven't experienced any of the reputed graphic issues other than the Flight Simulator 2000 display. It works very well with Blender, Sketchup, and Gimp. Only downside is probably the lack of expansion slots.

Compact and easy to use hard drive. Because it was for my mothER, I wish it came with a hard copy of a manual on how to use Windows 8.
