“I have speakers, monitor, keyboard, mouse that I purchased with a Dell setup in 2007. Will these peripherals work with this tower? They have not been used since 2011. I was using Windows 7 and did a lot with pictures/music, until the tower crashed.”

Yes they will work, I took my speakers from a 2001 model and they worked on this model. As far as the keyboard and mouse go, they must have a USB input to be used on this tower. This model lets you plug in a monitor via HDMI input as well as the older style fifteen pin input.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The new unit will come with new KB and mouse, keep them in the box. All the rest of your hardware will work fine. Keep in mind there are only 4 USB ports in the back but 2 more in the front. You may be able to plug the hard drive from old PC into new and get data off it under the drive letter and Users folder and your name... copy them to the new PC under the same folder name.

Also there are extra SATA ports on main board that you could plug hard drive in and get your pictures and music from. They would show up on what ever drive letter it came up as, IE: x:\users\ what your profile name was\ then pictures, music, documents. You could leave them there or copy to new PC.
