That's what I bought it for, connecting to my laptop.. I use the HDMI output on this laptop but older laptops should have a VGA (D-Sub) output...

Please try again later.This monitor has HDMI and VGA inputs - You need to know what kind of video output your computer has in order to purchase the right cable(s) or adapter(s). Without knowing what computer you use, it would be difficult to make a recommendation, but current PCs usually have HDMI or Displayport video output, most older PCs had VGA or DVI. There are adapters to hook up via USB, but your performance wouldn't be as good as using the proper cabling.
