how to remove stand from s2418hn infinity edge null

This troubled me as well, and I followed the instructions here: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3529/t/19665527

The stands snap into the bottom--so they are detachable, but they are not VESA so they don't just snap into a 2/3 monitor single stand. However, Dell sells an adapter that will make it work (you can look it up).
