Don't know about 2715H. Was researching 2717H vs 2717HX. Downloaded user's guide from Dell. Both turn out to be the exact same monitor. H simply bundles with a VGA cable, HX with an HDMI. At highest resolution 1920x1080, the VGA port refreshes no faster than 60Hz. No Freesync w VGA. Can do 75Hz w VGA, but then highest supported resolution is only 1280x1024. Again no Freesync. HDMI supports Freesync, from 48-76Hz, but tops out at 75Hz for full HD 1920x1080, a loss of 1Hz.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not sure, but the drivers for the H and HX are the same from Dell's website. I just bought the HX and it is an excellent monitor. Highly recommended, looks great out of the box without any adjustments. I upgraded from a 24" TN monitor and this 27" IPS is far superior in every way.

Please try again later. From my knowledge one main difference is that the S2715H is a (very) glossy screen - which I think looks beautiful, but this can cause viewability issues in bright-light environments. The SE2717HX is a matte (anti-glare) finish - which I think looks less attractive aesthetically, but obviously the matte screen would be more suitable in bright-light environments. I'm not sure why/if this alone make the S2715H over $100+ more expensive, but that's one of the main differences that I know.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. After looking at it for awhile... nothing. Literally nothing about the S2715H justifies the price hike. Albeit this monitor is on sale, but even at normal price it is cheaper and actually has more features.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm trying to figure this out too. From what I can tell by the spec pages, the S2715H has 2 USB ports and built-in speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, as far as pricing goes, I don't see why the S2715H would cost more (regularly) when it doesn't support FreeSync like the SE2717HX. Mostly it looks like the ability to mount the monitor you currently have may be the price difference seeing as the 2715 is usually $299 vs the 2717 at $279. Also, the 2717 has more of an Anti-Glare finish to it as opposed to a more glossy finish. Otherwise, they're almost identical monitors, with the 2717 technically supporting higher refresh rates.
