Originally, I had a monitor plugged into one of the DPI ports. I now have a new monitor and it is plugged into the full size HDMI port. These both worked very well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just set up the Dell XPS 8910 for my wife. We had an old Dell monitor that had a VGA and DVI port. So if your monitor has this selection, you can do either VGA > (VGA>DVI adapter) > DVI, or just get the DVI > DVI cable. The DVI male cable may be the DVI-D single link (two blocks of 9 females with a slit to the side) The tower has dual-link DVI-I (24 female with slit with 2 females on top & bottom), and another DVI-D dual link (24 female with slit). I think you can use two DVI-D single links (2 groups of 9 female with slit) into each of tower's DVI ports if you want to have two monitors.
