If you check that user manual under water hardness, you can find instructions how to set it to soft, medium or hard depending on the water supply where you live. If you set it on soft, it will take much longer before you need to descale it. Just make sure you check the water hardness first with the test paper that was provided.

You may want to try changing softer water, which will avoid water residue in pipes and probably not give you an indication to descale it more frequently. If it continues to give you descale indicator then you may want to contact manufacturer for resolution.
