QuestionDoes this machine make coffee too or just espresso?

- Answer It can make coffee, albeit significantly slower. It is a per cup basis. It does use the espresso maker and just processes more water through it to make the coffee. There are 3 settings. Espresso, americano, and coffee, each of which relate to how much water is processed.

QuestionIf I want to grind and dose with an external grinder, can I still use this machine for tamping? Is there a setting so it doesn't attempt to use the grinder when I insert the portafilter? I know this option exists on the Maestro.

- Answer Yes, has a serting. Switch knob all the way to the left showing the scoop as pictured below.

QuestionI can no longer change settings dial from coffee, Americano and espresso. It will not change from espresso even though the dial still turns to Americano and coffee.

- Answer Hello Bram, After doing some extensive research, we are unable to know how much pounds of pressure the tamper applies to the coffee in the portafilter, also it is not adjustable. As far as the machine, it is stainless steel with a matte finish.

QuestionEC9335 machine is brand new. I cannot get it to prime.; hot water button will start the pump but nothing comes out. I called DeLonghi and they said priming is the problem and I "may need to do it up to 60 times".Didn't help. About to return. Help.

- Answer Yes it will. I have the EC9355M. As long as yours starts with EC935. The X is a wildcard.

- Answer Follow the troubleshooting guide in the manual. Also, go to YouTube and search the model number for cleaning the grinder. Hint:you need a vacuum and the small brush.
