“What kind of coffee/espresso do you buy to make in this? Do you need ground or beans?”

• You need ground, whether you grind or by ground. It doesn't grind for you. You can use store bought espresso ground - manual says "pre-ground". My husband buys whole beans and grinds himself. We think we shouldn't grind to the finest grind, one less. I use regular coffee but grind it down. You don't have to grind regular down but it makes for a stronger cup.

• I prefer Cafe Bustelo supreme. Very reasonably priced and creamy; not bitter. I've tried using "coffee" grind and it tasted stale...or at least that is how I'd describe it.

• You would use ground coffee beans, ideally one's you ground yourself (requires a grinder - separate product)
