• You can connect 7 speakers plus the sub woofers. Of course you would not have the subs separately without a speaker. You would also lose the surround sound. You may want to add wireless speakers using WiFi. The Bose wireless speakers sound great, but are a lttle pricey.

• No. The amplifier has a multi-zone (2) feature, but the second zone requires a separate amplifier to be connected to this amplifier/receiver.
