• Yes it has a 9 channel Graphic Equalizer that can be adjusted for each of the 4 group of speakers. Can only be used with Audessey turned Off.

• According to the manual it does: http://manuals.denon.com/AVRS920W/NA/EN/GFNFSYuyviicam.php I recently bought it and haven't played with it enough to advise how effective it is. It also has some great sound modes and as almost every receiver, it has the ability to adjust the individual channels. It seems like a good receiver. The sound is great. This one replaced my Harman Kardon DPR2005 that eventually went into the light.
