The Bose 901 Series VI speakers are 8 ohm speakers. As per specifications for this unit, it will drive 8 ohm speakers at 90W per channel (8 ohm, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 0.08% 2ch Drive). If you want 185 watts per channel you must go buy 6 ohm speakers and then for a 1kHZ frequency it will drive 1 channel at 185 W. However, you'll likely destroy your speaker with 185W. I don't think the 901's are built to take that much power. This receiver output information is all in the specifications. Power Output (8 ohm, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 0.08% 2ch Drive) 90W Power Output (6 ohm, 1 kHz, 0.7% 2ch Drive) 125W Power Output (6 ohm, 1 kHz, 10% 1ch Drive) 185W
