• If you plug the microphone into the laptop, the sound and video will go into the Denon via the HDMI output of the laptop. The audio output from your laptop would go to the speakers on the Denon, and the video from your laptop will go to your TV, projector, or whatever your video output device is. Best wishes, Fred
