QuestionDoes this receiver have an am/fm radio? Also, I have four Kipswilch speakers and a subwoofer, can I listen to music as well as use for surround sound?

- Answer am/fm radio, yes. This receiver has an "all ch. stereo" mode which allows all surround speakers (including center) play as stereo pairs. excellent sound ! also the pro logic surround mode offers a "PLII music" mode that makes music sound great in a surround mode. Take your pick, even from the remote control.

QuestionQuestion about the Denon - 700W 5.2-Ch. 4K Ultra HD A/V Home Theater Receiver - BlackI am trying how to figure out how to connect my devices. I have a HDTV, DVD player, and want to get a sound bar perhaps (or some speakers), and I'm thinking a receiver in order to get radio and have the TV & DVD Player connect through it. I would like the TV/DVD Player to go through the sound bar (speakers) too at times. Would this receiver work? Or what would I need to have to connect them all? Thanks! I'm not sure what I need to make these items connect together.

- Answer Your dvd player with hookup fine using this receiver. Hooking up speakers are no problem, but you think of hooking up a sound bar, it will have to be a passive soundbar. Most soundbars are active, which means they have a built-in amp already. Your tv will hookup the best if you use an optical cable to the reciever.

QuestionSound IssuesA coworker has purchased this product and has picture with no sound. Does he have to get speakers or does the system support sound through the HDMI TV OUT connection and must it be turned on?

- Answer I used an optical connection from my TV to the Denon receiver, and then selected that connection with the Denon remote, and that feeds the sound thru the speakers that I have connected to the receiver.

QuestionIs the volume displayed on the TV when you adjust it?My old receiver can't display anything on the TV, and the receiver is far enough from the couch that it can be hard to see the receiver display. Was hoping that someone could confirm that this receiver displays the volume on the TV as you adjust it.

- Answer If everything is hooked up properly and utilizing the HDMI passthrough - sound will come through the tv (unless you power up- the receiver).

- Answer Yes you can if the turntable has its own pre amp,and RCA. Inputs. I have mine plugged in its a audio technica at-lp120-usb and works great.

QuestionI have had my Denon S510BT receiver for about 3 years and it all of sudden has Setup - use TV on the display. When I try to play music from my iphone, it does not have any sound. It shows to be connected to my iphone on the display. Any idea?

- Answer I use some Bose speakers with normal wiring for my surround with no problem. As long as the wiring isn't Bose specific it should be ok

- Answer no... you would need a seperate amp... this receiver sends a signal, but does not power a subwoofer

- Answer There is a plug connection for the subwoofer ( industry standard ). If you go to the Denon website you can download the AVR-S510 manual.
