“What are the 8 round buttons across front. My denon avr 1712 was hard to use. House hardwired 7 plug ins. Sound outlet quit. would like something easier than scrolling through so many settings. How easy to do that. Want LR or all.”

The first four buttons on the front of the receiver are the direct input buttons to select what you want to watch. The second set of four buttons is for sound selections. This Denon receiver is very easy to setup because everything that you need to do is displayed on your television or monitor.

4 are Quick Select: QUICK SELECT buttons With a single press of any of these buttons, you can call up various settings you’ve registered to each button such as the input source, volume level and sound mode settings. 4 are Sound Mode: SOUND MODE buttons These select the sound mode.
